Carolyn A. Humphreys, MEd, PhD
Carolyn Humphreys, M.Ed., PhD, is a clinical psychologist who has
extensive experience working with individuals of all ages, couples,
families and groups. She has expertise as a therapist, educator and
consultant. She uses play therapy and Theraplay? with children and their
caregivers to deal with trauma, loss and attachment issues. She uses a variety of interventions
in her therapy with adults and adolescents who have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression and
lifestyle changes. In her couple work, Carolyn uses Emotionally Focused Therapy which focuses
on changing unhealthy patterns of relating. A particular interest of Carolyn's is addressing the
challenges of stepfamilies and adoptive family living. She has a deep respect for the tenacity,
courage and resourcefulness of the human spirit.
